Position Summary

The Consultant Screening Coordinator is responsible for conducting consultant background checking, drug screen and health screen review process for accuracy and completeness. The Consultant Screening Coordinator will perform file audits, identify exceptions and communicate with the recruiters and account managers if completion is requested. This position is also responsible for supporting the Onboarding team as necessary. This position requires extensive work with vendor systems, email, phone, problem resolution skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.


  • Conduct consultant background checking, drug screen, health screen process and all other contractual required information. Review for accuracy and completeness.
  • Work directly with our screening vendors to create new screening packages based on client requirements
  • Assist with screening vendor relationship calls and initiatives
  • Maintain files in electronic form to document information and daily process in appropriate software locations
  • Perform assigned file audits, identify exceptions, communicate with recruiters for completion, and follow-up on outstanding exceptions to all assigned files
  • Follow policies and procedures for monitoring, tracking, and following up on consultant files
  • Contact consultants/candidates with expired or missing documents in a timely manner to ensure file compliance and track and report exceptions to manager
  • Retrieve and store incoming candidate information electronically, making notes in system
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures for processing, documenting, storing, and retrieving personnel’s employment, professional, and licensure information
  • Interact with representatives from Oxford’s Human Resources, Legal Team and client vendors on a regular basis.
  • Perform administrative functions regarding compliance and quality assurance, including document and form preparation
  • Utilize all available resources to ensure the most accurate and complete file possible
  • Heavy use of telephone and e-mail for following up with consultants and recruiters
  • Provide back-up to other members of the Onboarding team as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

Bachelor's Level Degree


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Previous background and drug screening experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Creative, outgoing, energetic person with a demonstrable track record of exceeding goals
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proven knowledge of MS Office products
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance and work all hours necessary or required
