Engagement Delivery Coordinator (Finance)

Position Summary

This position will serve as an Engagement Delivery Coordinator (EDC) to support various Oxford client engagements and new business opportunities. The EDC will support Consulting Services Engagement Delivery and Sales leadership in selling new IT Services business, including preparation of budgets and estimates at completion for existing active engagements, providing financial summary status on all active engagements and assisting in budgeting for new projects. The EDC tracks, monitors, and reports all aspects of engagement-level financials and other controls to the appropriate stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Engagement Delivery (20%):

  • Provide detailed tracking of Tasks and Deliverables associated with assigned engagements
  • Record and maintain client/contract/project-level details in system of record for engagement setup, including resource assignments and pay and bill rates
  • Oversee all charges for consultant’s time, expenses, and billing for assigned engagements
  • Conduct weekly Time and Materials tracking for engagement team related to budgets and forecasts
  • Maintain Budget reconciliation of actual invoices against proposed budget for each engagement
  • Prepare estimates at completion and identify/monitor/resolve any budget overruns/shortfalls
  • Ensure alignment between contracts, budgets, forecasts, system-based information, and bookings
  • Maintain engagement work papers on behalf of Manager or Director, Consulting Services on all assigned engagements

 

Sales Support (30%):

  • Assist Consulting Services sales lead in preparation of budgets/pricing for all new opportunities
  • Monitor compliance with bookings process on all signed contracts to enable booking in the right period when contracts are executed

Additional Responsibilities

Managing the Business (50%):

  • Monthly preparation of estimates at completion for all engagements assigned to the EDC
  • Maintain resource pools assigned to EDC from resource management standpoint, including accuracy of assignments and forecasts at an engagement level
  • Monitor time reporting forecasts to actuals for assigned resource pools and engagement-level financials for engagements assigned to each EDC
  • Prepare resource management summary reports and estimates at completion, including variance analysis and reporting to Consulting Services EVP

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills is a must
  • Good organization skills
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint advanced features
  • Great customer relationship management focus
  • Results orientated with a high sense of urgency to meet client requirements
  • Flexible working availability (may work with consultants/clients in all four U.S. time zones)

Education

Bachelor's Level Degree

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2+ years project experience
  • Proven ability to participate in cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products/services in the most practical, efficient and repeatable manner
  • Previous experience working with large companies
  • Experience with resources planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Previous experience with project tracking tools such as: Clarity, Nexis, PCM Web, SharePoint, MS Project, etc.
