Position Summary

The Payroll Specialist will be the initial point of contact for employees needing assistance with consultant time and expenses. In this position, the Payroll Specialist will maintain consistent communication to all consultants and Oxford front office staff.  The position will ensure timely and accurate processing of weekly payroll.

Responsibilities

  • Collects, reviews and extracts timecard information and approvals for processing.
  • Follow up of timecards not submitted or not approved. 
  • Reviews expense reports to ensure adherence to company and/or client policy.
  • Audits/reviews payroll registers for accuracy.
  • Prepares payroll adjustments for processing.
  • Main point of contact for employee payroll questions, with heavy focus on customer service and researching questions, problems and/or concerns.
  • Work with Information Technology Department on issues and testing, as needed
  • Perform work timely, accurately and thoroughly with a strong attention to detail and organization

Additional Responsibilities

Skills

  • Working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and Internet Explorer required
  • Working knowledge of PeopleSoft or other equivalent employee database programs preferred

Education

Experience

  • Associates or Bachelors degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of multi-state withholding tax requirements and Per Diem is a plus
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
