Position Summary

The Sr. PeopleSoft Developer will develop, create, and modify various aspects of PeopleSoft applications, software, or specialized utility programs.  This position is responsible for analyzing user needs and developing software solutions. The Sr. PeopleSoft Developer will customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and design integrated solutions within the PeopleSoft Financials environment
  • Demonstrate knowledge in HCM modules, Benefits, Payroll and Time & Labor
  • Work in a production support environment and have demonstrated skills for troubleshooting
  • Perform application configurations and setup within the PeopleSoft applications
  • Code solutions based on specifications including application customizations, custom reports, and interfaces
  • Debug code and recommend/implement program improvements through unit testing process
  • Troubleshoot problems with PeopleSoft applications and environments
  • Participate in system and integration testing
  • Exhibit working knowledge of pc systems and applications
  • Demonstrate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook

Additional Responsibilities

  • Gain experience in the following: PeopleSoft upgrade experience, Oracle performance tuning
  • Demonstrate proficiency in PeopleTools v9.x or higher (Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine, PSQuery, SQL, SQR, Integration Broker, Component Interfaces)
  • Other duties as assigned

Education

Bachelor's Level Degree in Computer Science or Other

Experience

  • PeopleSoft 8.x certification preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of PeopleSoft HR/Payroll table infrastructure and PeopleSoft Workflow required
  • Skilled at Global Payroll rules: earning elements, deduction elements, supporting elements, etc…
  • Working knowledge of BI Publisher and Fluid page development a plus
  • 5+ years progressive experience in systems development
  • 3+ years of significant hands-on experience developing complex customizations in PeopleSoft V8.x or higher
  • 3+ years of experience working with Oracle DBMS
