Position Summary

The Sr. Systems Analyst will develop, create, and modify various aspects of Systems applications, including PeopleSoft applications, software, or specialized utility programs.  This position is responsible for analyzing user needs and developing software solutions. The Sr. Systems Analyst will customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency and an enhanced user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Peoplesoft application including daily batch monitoring, prod bug fixes, minor enhancements, troubleshooting and problem management
  • Aid in the evaluation of problems with workflow, organization, and planning and help in the development of appropriate corrective action.
  • Assist in coverage of the PeopleSoft Help Desk ticketing system
  • Directly responsible for identifying and resolving any day-to-day production issues
  • Support senior team members in the development of code
  • Post implementation support.
  • Perform application configurations and setup within the PeopleSoft applications
  • Code solutions based on specifications including application customizations, custom reports, and interfaces
  • Debug code and recommend/implement program improvements through unit testing process
  • Participate in system and integration testing

Additional Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proficiency in PeopleTools v8.x or higher (Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine, PSQuery, SQL, SQR, Integration Broker, Component Interfaces)
  • Knowledge of Hyperion FCCS and/or Success Factors is a plus
  • Work in a production support environment and have demonstrated skills for troubleshooting
  • Exhibit working knowledge of IT systems and applications
  • Demonstrate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Other duties as assigned

Education

Experience

  • BA/BS degree in computer science, information technology or other related field
  • PeopleSoft 8.x certification preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of PeopleSoft table infrastructure and PeopleSoft functionality required
  • 2+ years progressive experience in systems development
  • 2+ years of significant hands-on experience developing complex customizations in PeopleSoft V9.x or higher
  • 2+ years of experience working with Oracle DBMS
