Position Summary
The Sr. Business Development Manager will support Oxford’s business objectives by mentoring and coaching a team of Account Managers, while also in an individual production role. This position will call potential and existing clients, sell Oxford’s technical consulting services, generate and negotiate job listings, and ensure quality customer service. The Sr. Business Development Manager will build, effectively communicate and generate production from a valuable database.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain client relationships and ensure the quality of client manager database information through follow-up calls and correspondence
- Sell Oxford’s services; gather organizational information such as consultant usage trends; exchange market data; assist client managers in defining their needs, advise them on methods to meet those needs and educate them the Oxford Process
- Identify and record job openings and qualify listings with potential and existing client managers
- Define and set up the hiring process; and negotiate rates, assignment terms, and credit terms
- Ensure quality customer service by resolving all issues pertaining to a consultant’s employment
- Administer corrective actions, working in conjunction with recruiters and management to terminate consultants and consult with corporate departments as needed
- Develop sales opportunities by identifying client managers at companies that utilize technical consultant services
- Follow up on leads from recruiters, consultants and user managers; networking; researching print media; and cold calling
- Complete visit reports and enter all information into Oxford’s database, complete listing sheets and summaries and ensure the timely completion of Consulting Services Agreements and credit checks
- Conduct training meetings to develop sales skills, exchange pertinent account information and develop account strategies
- Set up the 1-3 Account Managers with a daily plan and follow up on daily results
- Identify problem areas and communicate to Market Manager and Director Local Operations as needed
- Engage and prepare to be involved in interviewing applicants
- Ensure that Oxford is positioned in the correct marketplace maintaining Oxford’s MU% and bill rate standards
- Daily contribution of personal production that meets or exceeds established goals
- Provide day to day mentoring and coaching of 1-3 account managers as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
