Position Summary

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for supporting the organisation’s business objectives by building and maintaining long term business relationships by phone with client managers. This individual should effectively and consistently communicate with client managers over the phone and identify and generate consultant assignment opportunities from a database of client managers.

Responsibilities

  • Generate potential business opportunities through phone-based reference checking and lead generation and work closely with the in-house teams to follow up on referrals and leads:
  • Conducting Reference checks
  • Calling Manger Leads (given to them by Account Managers and Recruiters)
  • Calling Hot Leads (given to them by Recruiters)
  • Identify Client Managers through telephone cold calling, researching, print material
  • Call potential and existing hiring managers within client companies
  • Network with existing managers to identify new managers within client companies
  • Working to targets

Additional Responsibilities

The aim of this role is to provide our Business Development Representatives with enough training and practical experience for them to transition to our Account Management teams.   This transition is dependant upon successful completion of their performing quarters and meeting all their goals.

Skills

  • MUST be comfortable making outbound sales calls in a call center environment, 100+ per day
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills is a must
  • Creative, outgoing, energetic person with a demonstrable track record of exceeding goals
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced, competitive environment.
  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proven knowledge of MS Office products

Education

Bachelor's Level Degree

Experience

Some prior experience identifying and generating sales opportunities is preferred.
